HORIZON-MSCA-2024: Upcoming calls under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) are a powerful initiative of Horizon Europe designed to cultivate a bright future in research. HORIZON-MSCA-2024-DN: Doctoral Networks

These networks aim to train innovative and resilient doctoral researchers capable of transforming knowledge into economic and social benefits. High-quality doctoral training in Europe is enhanced by international mobility and a focus on innovation, preparing researchers for both academic and non-academic careers.

HORIZON-MSCA-2024-PF: Postdoctoral Fellowships

These networks aim to train innovative and resilient doctoral researchers capable of transforming knowledge into economic and social benefits. High-quality doctoral training in Europe is enhanced by international mobility and a focus on innovation, preparing researchers for both academic and non-academic careers.

HORIZON-MSCA-2024-SE: Staff Exchanges

This action promotes international and intersectoral collaboration through the exchange of staff and knowledge along the innovation chain. It fosters a shared culture of research and innovation, encouraging the conversion of ideas into innovative products and services.

HORIZON-MSCA-Support: Support Actions

This action promotes activities to complement the implementation of MSCA, facilitating cooperation among National Contact Points and promoting MSCA internationally. It focuses on the strategic exploitation of MSCA results, enhancing services, and supporting researchers at risk, aligning with EU external policies and the goals of the European Research Area.

Summary

This call seeks to foster the training and professional development of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers at regional, national, and international levels. These programs include international mobility and focus on scientific integrity, open science, and data management.

This call aims to strengthen doctoral training through collaboration between academic and non-academic entities in Europe and beyond. The programs offered enable doctoral candidates to acquire competencies in research and innovation, preparing them for careers within and outside academia. Industrial and joint doctorates are key, promoting the attainment of degrees recognized in multiple countries.

Open to researchers of any nationality, these fellowships promote internationality and interdisciplinarity, and seek to improve the quality of research training and supervision, thus increasing the capacity and global impact of participating organizations. They also include a mandatory return phase and enable stays in the non-academic sector, emphasizing scientific integrity and open science.

HORIZON-MSCA-2024-RR-01-01 | MSCA Researchers at Risk 2024

Summary

This call seeks to improve coordination and support for researchers at risk in Europe, raising the quality of proposals and facilitating access to funds and networks. It will focus on professionalizing and sustaining support networks, improving readiness at European, national, and institutional levels, and raising awareness of the challenges these researchers face. The actions will align with MSCA objectives and seek synergies with other EU programs, such as Erasmus+. The expected duration of the project is 36 months.
