11 nuevas convocatorias CEF para mejorar la conectividad digital

  La transformación digital de la Unión Europea se acelera gracias a las primeras convocatorias del mecanismo Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) 2021-2027. La Comisión Europea acaba de lanzar un total de 11 nuevas convocatorias con el 22 de marzo como fecha límite para enviar las solicitudes. Estas nuevas convocatorias se dirigen a organismos públicos o privados y empresas conjuntas y personas jurídicas, establecidas en Estados miembros de la Unión Europea.

Las 5 áreas del CEF

El programa CEF 2021-2027 maneja un presupuesto de 258 millones de euros para mejorar las infraestructuras de conectividad digital, compuesto íntegramente por subvenciones, y se distribuye en cinco áreas de acción:

· 5G para comunidades inteligentes, con 25 millones de euros.

· Cobertura 5G en corredores de transporte, con 106 millones de euros.

· Redes troncales para federaciones cloud paneuropeas, con 80 millones.

· Conectividad troncal para portales digitales globales, con 40 millones.

· Acciones de coordinación y apoyo a las plataformas digitales operacionales, a la agenda de despliegue estratégico 5G e integración de corredores y comunidades 5G con edge computing e instalaciones cloud federadas, con 7 millones de euros.
