A summer full of news at Kaila: LIFE, EDF, EU4Health and Euratom

On one hand, there is the LIFE Programme, the European Union’s financial instrument exclusively dedicated to the environment. With a budget of €5.4 billion, the 2021 call for proposals opened on 13 July. For more information, visit this link.

On the other hand, a new fund has been introduced this year, the European Defence Fund (EDF). With €7,953 million for the period 2021-2027, EDF supports the research and development of capabilities that amplify national military investments, to ensure an innovative, disruptive and competitive defence industrial base. Finally, we also have the topics published by the EURATOM research and training programme. The total financial envelope for the implementation of the new Euratom programme for the period from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2025 shall be €1.38 billion, and another of the most relevant programmes in the current circumstances, EU4Health 2021-2027, the EU’s ambitious response to COVID-19.
