Kaila, IDEKO’s technological intelligence tool

Juanan Arrieta, Head of International R&D&I Projects and Programmes at IDEKO, tells us how Kaila has become an indispensable tool for his organisation.

IDEKO is a benchmark technology centre based in Elgoibar (Guipúzkoa) specialising in manufacturing and industrial production technologies for application in sectors such as machine tools, railways, aeronautics, capital goods, automotive, and energy, among others. With more than 70 projects in Europe and a network of more than 500 collaborators, this centre enjoys a very competitive position in Dynamics and Control, Design and Precision Engineering, ICTs, and Automation and Manufacturing Processes.

The prelude to any innovation Project

IDEKO has been providing innovative and technologically competitive solutions to its customers for more than 30 years, which means that it is constantly taking on technological and innovation challenges. In this sense, Juanan has found fundamental support in Kaila for the incipient phase of any innovation process. Kaila has been a great help to the centre thanks to the agile, fast, interactive, and attractive way in which it provides access to information on funding opportunities in certain areas. With Kaila, they also know which projects have been approved under each opportunity and the most active entities in the European R&D&I scene, as well as the possibility of generating reports in an automated way.

A boost to knowledge

For Juanan, navigating the tool is intuitive, agile, and simple, which allows him to quickly access all the information he needs in his day-to-day work. Kaila provides the knowledge he needs about which organisations are most active in certain topics, the projects in which he has participated, and even other organisations with which he interacts.

“In short, Kaila has become an agile solution that I can’t do without in my day-to-day work”, says Juanan Arrieta.
